      Natural Occurrence

Natural Occurrence and Construction depicts predominantly natural environments and instances of human manipulation. The work was made in parklands and the corners of bucolic areas in the Great Lakes and James Bay regions of Michigan and Ontario. In these places society's footprint flagrantly contrasts with the natural environment.

This work describes constructed objects with attention to their characteristics in common. Patterns emerge that speak to the anthropocentric order we impose upon environments. In showing this I aim to raise questions pertaining to the valuation of these environments in such a way as to encourage complete inward participation from the viewer.
